Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office investigated the following incidents: 7:09 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 18000 block CR 46, New Paris. Police were called regarding a custody issue. 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 19000 block Industrial Dive, New Paris. Lloyd Wheeler reported several items and a Ford F150 were stolen. Elkhart Police Department spokeswoman Jessica McBrier said officers were called to the scene about 5:30 a.m. on reports that a person was trying to throw a bicycle through the window of a liquor. A week before the shooting, Ryback made news for using a Taser on an 18-year-old student at Elkhart Memorial High School. Police said the student was resisting another officer who tried to break.
